Product Description

The Pepe Nero Primitivo di Manduria DOP 2022 comes from Apulia, one of the most important red wine regions in Southern Italy. The protected designation of origin DOP (Denominazione di Origine Protetta) guarantees its origin from the renowned Manduria region.

The Primitivo grape variety is vinified here in its pure form. The proximity to the sea and the special microclimate give the wine its characteristic power and aromatic intensity.

In the glass, the Pepe Nero displays a deep ruby red with dark reflections. The nose is dominated by ripe, dark fruit notes, accompanied by spicy hints.

On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, powerful, and structured, with dense fruit, soft tannins, and a long, intense finish. The increased alcohol content of 16 % vol. emphasizes its concentration and richness.

Ideal with hearty meat dishes, game, aged cheese, or Mediterranean stews.
