Product Description

The Primitivo Salento IGP 2021 from Vinicola Cicella F.lli Schifone originates from the heart of Apulia. The designation IGP (Indicazione Geografica Protetta) stands for the protected geographical origin from the Salento region.

The wine is made from pure Primitivo grapes, cultivated in the municipalities of Maruggio, Lizzano and Torricella. The long maceration period ensures an intensive extraction of color, aromas, and structure.

In the glass, the wine shows a deep ruby red. On the nose, ripe fruit aromas unfold, especially dark berries and plum. On the palate, the Primitivo is full-bodied, warm, and powerful, with a soft tannin structure and a harmonious finish.

With 15% vol. alcohol, this red wine has a pronounced richness and pairs perfectly with hearty meat dishes, grilled dishes, stews, and aged cheeses.

Recommended drinking temperature: 16–18 °C.
