Product Description

The Malvasia Nera Salento IGP 2021 from Vinicola Cicella F.lli Schifone comes from the south of Apulia. The designation IGP (Indicazione Geografica Protetta) guarantees its protected geographical origin from the Salento region.

The Malvasia Nera grape variety is vinified here in its purest form and cultivated in the vineyards around Torricella. The Mediterranean climate and careful vinification give the wine its aromatic intensity and elegant structure.

In the glass, the wine shows an intense ruby red. On the nose, it unfolds an expressive bouquet with notes of raspberry and pomegranate, accompanied by fine fruity nuances.

On the palate, the Malvasia Nera presents itself as soft and harmonious, with gentle tannins, good structure, and a persistent, balanced finish.

With 14% vol. alcohol, this red wine is excellent with meat dishes, pasta with rich sauces, Mediterranean cuisine, and aged cheese.

Recommended serving temperature: 16–18 °C.
