Product Description

The Primitivo Salento I.G.P. from Masseria Cicella comes from Puglia in Southern Italy and is made from single-varietal Primitivo grapes. The vineyards are located in the traditional growing areas around Maruggio, Lizzano, and Torricella in Salento.

Due to the long maceration, this red wine develops a particularly intense aroma and a distinct structure. The protected geographical indication I.G.P. (Indicazione Geografica Protetta) stands for the regional origin and the typical style of this characterful wine.

In the glass, the wine shows a deep ruby red with dark reflections. On the nose, intense aromas of ripe cherries, plums, and dark berries unfold, accompanied by spicy nuances and a hint of Mediterranean herbs.

On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, soft, and powerful with a dense structure, pleasant warmth, and a long finish. The balanced fruit sweetness harmonizes with the soft tannins and gives the wine its opulent character.
